The project team would like to extend their thanks to everyone who took time to provide comments on the Draft Preliminary Criteria and Indicators Package for the Reid Road Reservoir Environmental Assessment (RRRQEA). All comments received were reviewed in detail by our project team and incorporated in an updated Criteria and Indicators Package. This package has been sent to MECP for review.
The RRRQEA Criteria & Indicators Comment Response Table (May 2024) outlines comments received from agencies and the public regarding Criteria and Indicators to date. Identifying information has been removed from any comments for the protection of individual commenters’ privacy. All comments received were reviewed and grouped under themes as denoted by the table subtitles (ie. ‘Environmental Assessment Standards’, ‘Data Sources’, etc). Comprehensive responses to each comment theme grouping have been provided. This has informed the updated Criteria and Indicators Package provided to MECP. The comment response table can either be found under the 'EA Documents' tab of the 'Reports & Documents' page.
Additionally, the project's Public Engagement Facilitator, Sue Cumming, has prepared a Feedback Report on Public Information Meeting 1 that is available under the 'EA Documents' tab of the 'Reports & Documents' page.
The revised Criteria and Indicators package will be posted once reviewed by MECP.
The project team is now assembling the project work plan, which will be the focus of Public Information Meeting 2. At this time, a date for the second public meeting has yet to be determined.
